Flint Hills Rodeo

PRCA Rodeo at its Best!

The oldest consecutive rodeo in the state of Kansas!

The Flint Hills PRCA Rodeo is held annually in the heart of the Flint Hills at the end of May or beginning of June.

Often described as “A Who’s Who” in professional rodeo, the Flint Hills Rodeo in Strong City, Kansas, is an American treasure.  Top professional rodeo contestants come from far and wide to compete in traditional rodeo events: Bareback Riding, Tie-down Roping, Barrel Racing, Steer Wrestling, Saddle Bronc Riding, Team Roping, Women’s Breakaway Roping and Bull Riding.

Events for kids are included in the 3 nightly performances, including mutton busting, the calf scramble and a stick horse rodeo.  Please see our schedule page, or our Flint Hills Rodeo Facebook page, for more details!

A parade, dances, and several other community activities round out these 3 days of “Rodeo at its Best!”
